With the inclusion of Steam Workshop (i.e. officially supported mods), I've gotten back into Skyrim with a vengeance. Started a new character (a Breton this time!), Ezra - figured I'd go pure mage, but changed my mind and went for a mage/tanky warrior hybrid with a 2-hander and full daedric armor (minus the hood, which is for mage-y aesthetics (mod by Reko)). Oh, and I know a ton of delightfully evil spells, too. Plus heals. Fu fu fu.
So yeah, holy shit does she play great. Best fun I've had in a long time. And minus a magic-scaling overhaul (which isn't cheating so much as it is balancing the magic system in-game (mod by elgatodefuego1989)), I've been sticking with aesthetic mods.
Case in point: I decided to pick up another delightful mod that adds female Daedric corset armor (pictured above, mod by Ghost of Raven).
Anyway. Pretty game gets pretty screenshots. Sorry for that, I don't normally do this, aside from Gmod. But still! Game is so good!
EDIT: Oh, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a product of Bethesda and Zenimax. I only take credit for hitting Shift+F5, nothing more.
Now that I know I can lower the cost of all spells to 0 using magic is a little more fun, but I got all my combat skills to 100 now, all I do is summon Dremora Lords, Atronachs, Odahviing and use Shadowmere to fight now.
Now I have the best of both world
