Hope you've all been well!

My Patreon has closed, so I'll be posting all Escape from Eden's Estate work here. Sadly, life has been so busy that I've barely had time to work on it, pose screenshots, Blender work - none of it. Even my vacations are all booked!

Fortunately, things should be settling down soon. I'll have updates the moment I've finally got some time to myself. Being an adult suuuucks.

I'm reposting this from my Patreon since I feel there're more people here, and it's been awhile since I've posted Hikari stuff. But before that, happy holidays to all of you! I hope you're all safe and healthy :)

Today is a momentous day! Hikari has officially left the tutorial area!!

While there's still a lot of work to be done, I'm worried that I may not be able to finish in time for the end of the year. My plan is for the demo's length to end at Hikari's personal sanctuary, though a lot is still missing. That said, I think I can keep it cut for now and release a leaner demo now - while releasing a more fleshed-out demo later.

The reason why Perils of Sparrow took so long, and why so many saves broke in every update, is that I kept adding in new mechanics. For Escape, I'm trying to have most of the mechanics already built-in. Things will still break, but the idea is to spend more of the dev time completing content rather than adding in new things. That said, here's a bit of an update on where we're at, I've tried to be as thorough as possible so you can see just how much work goes into this little project:

- Music and sound effects are missing, to add later (already found some nice stuff). - Threat mechanic and capture are missing, framework in place. - Hiding mechanic is missing, framework in place. - Escape mechanic is missing, framework in place. - Working gallery is there, but nothing's been added yet. - Dialogue trees are working, but a few bits of text need alignment and I want moooar dialogue choices - Both the map and minimap are working, however there are still a few minor bugs. I'd also like to add points of interest to the map, but I'll likely add that later - Five "sections" finished and workable, ten to go before sanctuary is reached - UI is mostly finished, just a few little things to add - Added some new screens, including a "unlock door with keys" screen. Didn't think I needed it, but here we are! - Code has been tightened and much more easily organized for ease of troubleshooting bugs and adding content. A full day of work well spent! - Need to optimize image formats to incorporate more JPEGs, reducing file size - Added a tutorial towards the start of act 1 to help explain some mechanics - Finished stock death scenes for being captured, but need to code them in. And yes Hikari is killed, no she can't die, yes the maturity filter will handle this kind of thing - Need to finish more hiding scenes, especially since 80% of those images are now invalid thanks to a new Gmod update that destroyed one of my scenes. Thanks guys, much love - New title screen is done and it looks seeexy woop woop! - Need to add actual buttons to the sexy new title screen since text buttons are ugly. That'll be its own post once it's done :) - As mentioned (on Patreon), cut the combat mechanic but added the crafting mechanic. Will not be available for the demo - Added code for lore, but need to now actually write the lore

My Patreon account is currently labeled as 18+, however I don't plan on sharing explicit content there. However, Patreon needs me to share some personal information in order to maintain it. I'm one of those people who does read the fine print before signing, however I don't remember seeing this clause during the signup. That's on me, and I accept it - however, Patreon may suspend payments if I don't upload my personal identification.

I submitted a helpticket a few days ago asking if I could revert this account to a non-18+ account. Haven't heard back, and I plan on giving them a few more days. However, if the worst comes to pass, I'll just shut the account down and remake it with all the content as another, non-18+ account. I'll migrate all the content over there if that does come to pass.

I apologize for this annoyance!! I'll be sure to stop all payments on the old account if that does happen - and if you're a current subscriber, I recommend you hold off on subscribing to the new account for a few weeks because I don't want you to double-pay. Everything is going to be free, so you'll lose nothing!

My goal is to make this as easy as possible for everyone, and if it means giving up a month of payment, that's fine. I will keep you updated on the transition - really hope Patreon answers my help ticket soon.

So Escape from Eden's Estate is coming along very well, the scenebuilding for the demo locations is mostly finished. I've got two more game mechanics to properly code, one mechanic to either tweak or remove (combat), and then it's just a matter of posing and coding the story/game.

I've also uploaded some Ellie and Batgirl since it's been awhile. Hikari's established a monopoly around these parts, figured it was time to bring back some other damsels. Can't have her taking up all of my real estate, which is why I've also toned back the EEE (ooh, E3) promos for a bit, too.
